I graduated from Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2001. I completed my specialisation in Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the same faculty in 2007. Following my military service and work at a state hospital, I began my academic career in 2010. I held teaching positions at Bezmialem Foundation University, Istanbul Medipol University, and Acıbadem University. In 2012, I worked as a research fellow in the field of sports surgery at the University of Pittsburgh in the United States.
I served as a professor at Acıbadem University between 2019 and 2025. As of 2025, I left the university and began seeing patients at my own practice.
Sports surgery, knee and hip replacement surgery, and arthroscopic surgery are among my areas of special interest. In the scientific field, I have authored over 100 scientific articles, contributed to over 100 book chapters, edited 5 books, and served as a translation editor for 3 books.
